Are there any photos out there of string implants before implant?
-
+1
I probably have a completely wrong expectation of a string implant
-
This is a damn good question.
-
As I understand they're just very small pieces of polypropylene string before they expand. I think Chelsea Charms once described them as looking a bit like small noodles.
-
Basically go get a spool of very small mono-filament fishing line and then let the spool "Bird's Nest" and that's what string implants look like.
No shell, no container, just very slim mono-filament (polypropylene) line.
-
A very limited number of girls got these nearly 20 yeas ago, so it's probably not likely photos exist, but who knows.
-
What's there to photograph? Dr Johnson had a "gun" that was basically a spool of polypropylene thread that was power fed through a tube into the breast pocket where it wadded up. That's all. He used to have descriptions of the device and method on his website back in the day.
-
I didn't know that. I thought it was a implant-shaped wad that was implanted.
-
If anyone could remember the URL of Dr. Johnson's website, you could probably find all of the documentation he used to have posted on the internet wayback machine site. web.archive.org

An image is worth 1000 words, I prefer an image over any wordly description. That's how primate brains work. Lots of neurons are devoted to interpretation of images. Words are rather newcomers in the history of evolution.
-
The string was NOT the size of yarn. It was very thin. If I remember right, it was .2mm thick, according the Dr. Johnson's documentation.

Yep, I remember reading an article/interview about the procedure in SCORE magazine back in the day that said the filament was roughly the thickness of the mesh on a screen door.

Does anyone know anyone who still dioes this???? I woukld LOVE to get them. Thanks. Tara

Hi Tara! No one in North America will do the procedure (loose your license to practice).
I would not trust a surgeon other than Dr. Johnson to do it. (rip)
His “invention” involves more than just inserting silly string in the pocket.
It does involve an intense follow up with the patient that demands complete availability for the year(s) afterwards.
Try contacting Chelsea Charms or Kayla Kleevage, they have had relatively positive experiences .
Most other patients haven’t ...

i think minka and teddie barrette still have string..feels like it has gone wrong with a some and some girls have no problem at all almoust 20 years later

Thanks for the info! What is this invention? More info please!
Thank-you again, Tara xxxooo

I meant Dr. Johnson has the patent for the string implant. He developed it & first presented it to the PS community. I think he also did the original training for other surgeons to perform the procedure.
(Meaning no one got his mentoring beyond 2001)
It took more research to understand why it had to be banned (in 2001).

From what Ive heard over the years, and understand, a "string implant" would look like a ball of wound up string. It slowly unravels inside, irritating more tissue and causing more fluid to be produced and make the boobs keep growing and growing. Larger amounts of string would cause more swelling over time. Many women had horrible complications like greatly uneven growth between their left and right breasts, and some women growing way too fast, requiring removal. The idea got canned because there was no consistent, and safe, outcome. Chelsea and the other few girls that still have them are the lucky ones that didnt experience complications. But even Chelsea has been getting uneven growth over the last 10 years or so with her nipples pointing outwards now.
Chelsea getting them removed after this long will probably be a massive undertaking as well. Who knows how things have grown around the insides of her breasts as they've gotten bigger and bigger. Only a doctor with some proper xrays and ultrasounds would be able to tell whats going on in there. I doubt they could just poke a hole and deflate them like a normal implant. It would probably require alot of tissue removal and reconstructive surgery. I cant imagine she'll want to lug them around much longer, but hopefully people help her out when that time comes.

Think modern fishing reel and monofilament fishing line. let the spool freewheel and birds nest. That's what a polypro implant looks like inside.
-
There's a lot of blood vessels, arteries and veins interwoven with the string and breast tissue in there, so it's not just an easy removal, no less than removing giant tumors. Somewhat complicated/risky, I'm sure.
-
No so much. Capillaries at best. Some small veins maybe. Absolutely no arteries in a breast...
-
I think it's going to take more than capillaries to supply blood to those massive tumors.

P.S. I am curious too, how such an implant looks like
-
As far as what used string implants look like, I imagine they would look a lot like what your pecker would look like if you ran it thru a meat grinder and shoved it into your nut sacks. Not pretty I'm sure. 🙄
-
Now that the legend had hers removed are they something they can keep or give to someone else like an implant? I don’t think so but what if she changed her mind or someone wanted to use them after since they are not available anymore?
-
I believe Xena Kai has them?

Nope.

She has regular 750cc Saline Implants https://youtu.be/_EtQA2gC5Pc?t=295

very pretty woman.

The only one who ever performed them was Dr. Johnson. And he was a quite controvesial surgeon. It seems he wasn't always too concerned about the overall health of his patients.
He got his license revoked (Link here (https://www.artharris.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2007/07/gerald.johnson.pdf))

Man I wish they were still used. Those ladies that got them. Wow now just about all are removed or retired. Sad we will never see this boob type again.

Does anyone know if any scientific articles have been published about Chelsea explantation? I didn't find it.

This is a good question.
-
Is Dr Gerald W Johnson still alive?
-
I believe Xena Kai has them?
Nope. She had incredibly wondeful saline bags. Sadly and foolishly removed

Dude, didn't you get the bottomline: this kind of implant is essentially dangerous.
It is not controllable and needs constant monitoring with (at least) regular drainage since it seems to cause the body to produce liquid constantly (afaik it's because the body "thinks" there is a wound to heal so it's in essence that soggy stuff when you have a rather fresh wound which after a while dries out through air so a tissue can develop).
