The paradox of head size
« on: December 02, 2022, 06:49:11 am »
There seems to be an idea that a small-headed model boosts the apparent size of the boobs:

But if the head size is increased (and a few other small details are attended to, to taste), then the image's appeal changes:

especially when side-by-side:

I have a theory that the eye moves from the face to the waist and then to the boobs.

If the face is much smaller than the waist (original image), then the image appears more 'artificial'.

If the face is a similar size to the waist, the image appears more 'believable', and the extreme boobs become more appealing.

Thoughts?

Cheers

Human head size generally varies less than overall body size, so increasing the size of the head makes the rest of the body be read as smaller. How tall would you guess the smaller headed model is compared to the larger headed?  To my eyes small head is a tall woman while big head is quite petite, and I love the idea of petite women with large breasts, so I agree that one is more appealing (taste is personal, of course).

Great artistic discussion point...I'd rather a properly proportioned head to body to indicate a petite or Amazonian build. The boobs look bigger with a smaller head because the body looks bigger with a smaller head. For overall attractiveness, I still enjoy a petite girl with tits that are big for her body over a taller girl, even if the ratio of height to boobs has not changed.

The height was my first thought with those images. The smaller head looks taller.
Curves are what the universe was built on.

I think the smaller head looks anatomical and the larger one's leaning into cartoony. The waist is already unnaturally small which to me is what really makes it artificial overall, but that's not to harp on it since that's the aesthetic you're going for.

You guys, listen:

The proportion of head to body varies with age.  The youngest people have the largest heads relative to their body size.  When you draw a woman with a larger head, it makes her look younger.  This isn't complicated.

The one on the left looks like a mature woman in her 20s.  The one on the right looks like a teenage girl.  That's the difference you are seeing.
The most beautiful women are those who fully embrace plastic surgery and let it transform every part of themselves.
