Privacy Error
« on: September 07, 2021, 08:13:15 pm »
I'm running into error pages that are telling me my connection is not private and people could be taking my information. It's popped up on a different browser as well to see if if it was the primary one having issues. Don't know if anyone else is getting this error. The site was working fine for me yesterday.

I think it's because the smilie emoji's load from a fixed URL beginning with
Code: [Select]
http:// instead of being served over HTTPS. Should be an easy enough fix for an admin. I suspect it's driven by the file
Code: [Select]
script.js in the path
Code: [Select]
Themes/default/scripts, in which case might be easier to just update the forum theme to fix (again, an admin would do this).

Admins: Looks like same issue as https://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=556400.0

Just basing this off dev tools console. OP - this is a good catch.

These messages just mean that the security certificate expired. This happens every 3 months to most sites. We have a machine that refreshes this automatically, but it failed to run. It's fixed now though
