PMT does not want their expanders used for purely extreme cosmetic purposes.
I know this first-hand. We were warned of this over at JBI by a member a few years ago in a discussion that my woman had via pm. Sure enough - when it was time for our doctor to place the order, (after a PMT representative flew down to meet with him and establish his practice as approved for their products - which they did), word came back from the rep that this order was rejected and while not actually stated, the aforementioned was the implied reason. However, he was quick to establish that PMT wanted to do business with his practice .... on appropriate patients.
Not advertising the name of the expanders, is smart.
As an aside, it's been my experience that upon overfilling, the PMT expanders take on a bizarre triangular appearance, pointy at the top. Perhaps they've since corrected/changed the device to avert this.
It was not long-after, that myself and our doctor found the 2000cc Allergan expander in an old catalog. THAT device has proven quite popular, since we put it on the map in 2013. However, I've heard that supply recently has been constrained. Given that manufacturing costs are already paid-for, one has to wonder why this is happening now, considering that the device had been available for at-least a decade (that's how old the catalog was).
