For an number of months I increasingly login to see a high volume of threads "bumped." That is, 30-50% of the Unread (new since last visit) threads have a single reply consisting of most commonly:
- A reply of "she's hot" or "perfect wife" or "love it"
- A massive pic-dump from their lastest big-studio porn shoot. These are not hard to find, or rare. It almost looks like a bot has scraped a studio's site, reposted to Imagebam, and shared 100+ thumbnails in a comment reply. No text. No info. No discussion. Not even rare or unique or hard pics to find. Often the same OP has done this across 10+ threads within a very short period of time.
- 1-3 massive resolution pictures, which are just immediate reposts from a girl's social media
The list of "Unread" threads is often 6-10
pages long. That's awesome - if it really was that much
new, interesting, or valuable content. Alas, a small fraction of those threads have new posts of much value add, to me. That's a very frustrating experience to browse. Constantly drowning in a sea of effectively stale content falsely marked "new".
Personally, I use the "Ignore" feature. While this collapses a user's reply, it does
not: hide the bumped post from the forum list, hide the bumped post from Unread section, or hide the user completely. Seeing so many threads irrelevantly "bumped" is ruining the experience
for me. Ideally, are there some features we can add-on (upgrade to?) that enable more robust...blocking of these problematic (again,
to me) users? That way we can all enjoy the forum in the ways we each prefer, without annoying each other?
