Hey,
Haven't been on in a while, busy I guess. No new pictures, however I did buy a BUNCH of fun new tops....
Have a few new stories for you if you're interested in reading em.
I was at home depot today buying quite a lot of things. First off, there are always guys hanging out in the parking lot, waiting for people to hire them for the day. Well one of them offered to help unload some boards from my car. No really exciting for you, but it sure was nice of him.
Next one happened inside. I was in line to return some things and there was a couple in front of me. The guy saw me, and kept looking over his shoulder at me. Eventually he said something to his wife(?) she looked over her shoulder and kinda of choked out a laugh. Was pretty funny. She kept trying to turn around to look at me, but of course I was facing her so she (and the hubby?) kept quickly looking away.
Next up was in the electronics/breakers isle. I was looking for a specific junction box but was not finding what I was looking for so a girl that happened to be walking by that works there asked if I needed help. So she called someone over for me. A few minutes later a male employee came walking towards me from the other end, but another guy jumped in front of him and stopped him. I was irritated, but shrugged it off. The employee shrugged, apologized and then said he would help me when he was done with the the other guy. They ended up walking away. A minute later another male employee walked p with a big friendly smile (a grandpa sort of guy). Well, he was super helpful and I thanked him a lot. While he was helping me, employee #1 came back and said "Hey, she was mine. I was going to help her." I just sorta smile and he looking at me after chuckling and told me to have a nice day. I thanked him.
Next up came the lighting department. I was looking for a ceiling fan when I bumped my thumb (it has a chunk of metal stuck in it and if I hit it just right it hurts a LOT!) Anyways I bumped my thumb and kindof inhaled loudly and a guy heard me, and said "Oh gosh are you ok?" Was funny. Told him I was fine, he said "Ok, good." And continued walking.
The tile section... I have a piece of tile and some grout I have been desperately trying to match. Two separate tile installers were super helpful trying to find a close match. (One of them even told me my tile was horrible and that I should replace it.) No luck, but it was fun having them stop what they were doing to try to solve my delema. (Trying a different store tomorrow.)
Next I was in the lumber section getting a few boards to make the top for a pony wall. One of the guys from earlier in the tile isle found me. I forget exactly what he said but I will try to remember. "Wow, got a lot of projects going on don't you?" I said yes, that we were rehabbing a house. He then asked "We?" I said "Yes, my husband and I." He seemed disjointed and just said "Oh." Then paused and said something along the lines of good luck and have a good day. (At some point before mentioning my husband he asked if I needed any help.)
There were a few other minor things that I can not remember and LOTS of looks and exclamations.
I finally finished and went outside. More looks, a few stopped cars..... Home depot was very busy today. I got my car loaded when the guy in the truck next to me kinda waved. I recognized him as a guy I've talked to in the parking lot before. (He's an employee, I've seen him gathering the carts.) Well, he honked his horn a few times and motioned me to roll my window down. I did, and he said hi, then "Oh wait, I recognize/know you. How have you been?" Not wanting to talk to him I just said "Fine, really busy." He then asked if he could ask me a personal question. So of course I brought my guards up, and knew the next question. I said sure, and he proceeded to ask me "Are those real?" When people ask me that, I usually say "Sure, they're real." What they really should be asking is "are those natural?" So, he said "Wow, what size are they?" And of course, I can not find a bra that "fits me", so I always answer with what guys love to hear. "I do not know, I can not find anybody that makes anything that fits me." At that point he got creepy/excited and asked "Can I touch one?" I said, "No." Then he asked, "Can I see one at least?" I said "Uhhh no". And rolled the window up and started to back out. :-/
That's it for the day....
