I have heard about this tour pitty they do the USA only. I hope they will come to the EU next year, but I would never pay 250$ just to see them(at least it would be a few day festival with a lot of bands included).
Farewell tours are a scam most of the time. Ozzy first farewell tour "No more tours" from 1993 -> he is still here. Scorpions farewell tour from 2012 -> they are still here.
From my experience farewell tours often mean just a longer break from touring.

I’m sure you can see this concert for less but the venue and seats I wanted were $250. Some were more some less.  I saw Ozzys farewell and it was Ok. It’s kind of fun to see some bands past their prime just to say you were there.   I can afford it I just don’t know if they can still perform.

Nothing strange!
Old Rock and Roll stars are still active like Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard => they are in their late 80's. I wish i could see them someday but they very rarely go touring outside the USA. B.B King, he played live shows until his very death at age of 90. Those guys were the inspiration for the rolling stones and the Beatles and you can still go and see them in 2020 how can you explain that? The only band that I can recall which really finished their career after their farewell tour are Ramones, They made their last tour in 1996 and they never toured again. Maybe cause they started dying 1 by 1 in a few years after.

About the show you are going to see:

I have seen only def Leppard 2 times from this line-up and i have to say you will not regret it. They play even better than in their prime I must say(I'm assuming that only from live recordings). They are one in a few bands that are immortal and don't get affected by their age really. especially their singer is in a great shape. There is a reason for them finishing every concert with "... And there will be the next time"

Again I really envy you that you can go there especially for Joan Jet cause she really rarely goes outside the USA.

They keep adding dates. I can almost guarantee a EU tour

Def is awesome and I agree they will put on a great show. It’s Crue that I don’t think can match past performances. Never seen poison and although I have respect for Joan Jett they are not a favorite. So if I hear Crue has it together I will go.

Crues singer sucks, but he always sucked even on live recordings from their prime time. At least you can hear him singing about "the nice big tits" in song the dirt from their latest album the dirt.

What I like about them is their legendary atitude, which i suppose is not real today.
You know:
Party
Booze
Smoking
No limit in every sense.
Wearing woman clcthes just for the joke. I wonder how it would be seen today with all LGBT shit going on.

I obviously have no first hand knowledge but they seemed to live (and almost die) that lifestyle for real...I heard from some friends who would see the same tour show I would but in a different city and they would sometimes just be so hammered it was just horrible when the show I would see would be great -- but again - lots of performers have had that.   I dont' know if Vince Neal was ever "good" but sometimes front men for bands serve different purposes... He didn't over shadow the real talent.  I wasn't a fan of David Lee Roth until Sammy tried to front for Van Halen and I realized being the voice of a band isn't always about talent.

I used to listen to mostly 90s rock, such as P.O.D.,Limp Bizkit, Staind, etc. Really got into Thousand Foot Krutch and a few others awhile ago too.

Some one told me  that good artists have to live thru personall crisises fight addictions and so on. I never really listened to grunge, but I undertend what you mean. When i listen to a band extensively i always try to learn about their back story. Recently i have been reexposed to this punk legend GG Alin and his ultimate rock and roll atitude.
